Terms and conditions
These terms apply to your use of quantumrisk.co.uk (the "website"). By using the website you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
About us
The website is operated by Quantum Risk Solutions Limited ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15097898, with its registered office at 142 Thornes Lane, Wakefield, WF2 7RE. Our VAT number is 450379393. You can contact us at info@quantumrisk.co.uk or on 0333 050 9164.
What these terms cover
These terms cover the website only. We do not sell products or services through the website, and nothing on it is an offer that can be accepted to form a contract.
Our consultancy, technology and project work is delivered under separate written terms, which apply to that work instead of these terms:
- Direct engagements: the proposal or statement of work we agree with you, together with our terms of engagement, or your own terms where we have agreed in writing to work under them.
- Engagements through an intermediary: where we provide services through a recruitment agency, consultancy or other intermediary, the contract between us and that intermediary.
- Funded projects: where we carry out research and development funded by a public body, the funder’s grant agreement and conditions. These also govern how the project, its funding and its results may be publicised, so we describe funded work on the website only once the funder has agreed.
- Products we operate: products we run on their own websites are governed by the terms published on those websites.
If any of those terms conflict with these, those terms apply to that work.
Enquiries
Sending us an enquiry, through the contact form or otherwise, does not create a contract or any obligation on either side. Please do not include confidential information, or personal information about other people, in a first enquiry. If we need it, we will agree with you first how it is shared and, where appropriate, put a confidentiality agreement in place. We handle the personal information you send us as our privacy policy describes.
Using the website
You may use the website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- use it in any way that breaches a law or regulation;
- try to gain unauthorised access to the website, to the systems that host it, or to any data held on them;
- introduce malicious code, or try to disrupt or overload the website;
- use automated means to copy or harvest its content or the contact details on it, other than search engines indexing the website in the ordinary way.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability in the website, please report it to info@quantumrisk.co.uk, the contact named in our security.txt file. Please do not test further than you need to show the issue, and do not access, change or keep data that is not yours.
Information on the website
The website gives general information about our work. It is not advice, and you should not rely on it as advice for any particular situation: we give advice only under an engagement. We aim to keep the website accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that its content is complete, accurate or current.
The interactive tools on our Technologies pages demonstrate methods using synthetic data. Their values do not describe any real site, person or organisation.
Where we describe past work, we do so in general terms and, unless the work is our own, without identifying the client.
Intellectual property
We, or our licensors, own the intellectual property rights in the website and its content, including its text, graphics and design, the Quantum Risk Solutions name and our logo. You may view the website, and print or download extracts for your own reference or for internal use within your organisation, provided you keep any notice of our ownership. You must not otherwise copy, adapt or republish the content, or use our name or logo, without our written permission.
The names and logos of other organisations, such as programmes and funders we have worked with, belong to those organisations. Showing them does not mean that they endorse us or the content of the website.
Links to other websites
Links to other websites are provided for your information only. We have no control over those websites and are not responsible for them, or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
Availability
We provide the website free of charge and as it is. We do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales.
Subject to that, we are not liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website, or from your reliance on any of its content. In particular, we are not liable for any loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, anticipated savings, data or goodwill, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
If you use the website as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
Privacy and cookies
How we use personal information, and the cookies the website uses, are set out in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the website when you use it is the one that applies. The date below shows when they last changed.
Law and jurisdiction
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the website, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
